HJR 26 - This joint resolution would submit a constitutional amendment which, if approved by Missouri voters, divides the proceeds from forfeitures for any breach of penal law as follows: 50% to the State School Moneys Fund; and 50% to the Department of Public Safety Forfeiture Fund. The Forfeiture Fund will be divided, with 90% of the fund to be distributed to local law enforcement agencies and the remaining 10% to be retained by the Department of Public Safety for use as provided by law. Proceeds of penalties and fines shall continue to be distributed to school districts in the county such penalties and fines are collected.
